Our Second Home (OSH for short) is the UK’s youth movement building the skills and confidence of young refugees and migrants to flourish into adulthood. 

Our summer residential programmes are four-night-long activity camps for young people aged 14-18. They are a chance for young people to come together and have five days of fun and excitement, supported by a dynamic and dedicated team of Leaders and staff.

As an OSH Leader, you'll be the heart and soul of the camp. You'll create a safe and supportive environment, lead engaging activities, and empowering these young people to reach their full potential.

As an OSH Leader you'll...
- Plan and run fun activities for the young people
- Build positive relationships and ensure their well-being
- Set clear boundaries and manage behaviour
- Be a role model and promote inclusion

Previous OSH Leaders have had the following skills & expertise... 
-
 Experience working with young people
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a knack for improvisation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity
- DBS clearance (no criminal record barring work with children)

If you have any of the following, you get bonus points ; ) 
- Experience with refugees and/or asylum seekers
- Languages like Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Tigrinya, Somali
- First aid training or creative/artistic abilities skills (music, theatre, etc.)
- Sports leadership 


Application Process and Useful Information:
All reasonable expenses will be covered by OSH for camp Leaders. 
- As an organisation supporting young refugees/migrants, we encourage applications from anyone with lived experience or status as a refugee or migrant.  

Important Dates:
> Residential Training Day (for Leaders): 5th-7th July, 2024
> Residential Camps trips will take place on the following dates (you don't have to attend all of them):

24th-28th May | 1st-6th Aug | 22nd-27th Aug | 30th Oct- 4th Nov | 29th Nov- 1st Dec
